Yoga is a Sanskrit word, most frequently translated as union. Through the practice of yoga, we unite our body, mind and spirit to become healthier, happier and more aware. Yoga is a 5,000 year old tradition, and many different styles have evolved over time. We have divided our classes up into different types, but please know that each of our teachers has a unique blend of experience and training, and therefore each class will be different. We encourage you to check out a teacher's bio and try out several classes to find one that is a perfect fit for you.

Parent & Toddler Yoga
Yes, your toddler can do yoga! Our class is structured so that tots between the ages of 22 months - 4 years and their caregiver will receive all the benefits of yoga through movement, dance, story-telling, and play. We'll begin with a "centering" by singing our hello song, practicing a breathing technique, and learning our theme or intention. Every class has a new theme such as "giving" or "kindness," which is woven throughout our music, postures, and activities. We'll warm up our bodies with a dance using scarves or other motion props. Next we'll practice some yoga poses that help us demonstrate our theme and then move on to activities that include balls, a parachute, puppets, and other fun surprises. We'll end the class with soothing music during our relaxation snooze.
This is a fast-paced class to keep up with a toddler's attention span, but it is balanced with rest after effort. You'll be amazed at some of our meditation techniques especially developed for active little ones. We look forward to practicing with you!
